April's Kitchen
Guest blog post by Liz Boardman Copywriting
April’s Kitchen fuses fabulous food and drink with seamless service for an all-day dining experience that’s truly unique. It has a casual yet cool vibe and still manages to feel intimate even when it’s buzzing with customers, which is pretty much all the time.
A Knutsford institution from almost the moment it opened in 2017, and a popular spot for locals and visitors, you’ll find April’s Kitchen tucked away at the top of Regent Street.
As well as an amazing menu and monthly specials, April’s also host private parties and regular events with live music, special menus and stunning cocktails – check out its website for a list of upcoming events.

From coffee to cocktails
Planning a catch up with friends? Make a date at April’s.
For a caffeine injection with an extra shot of elegance, April’s is most definitely the place to be. Not only is the coffee amazing, but the presentation is always on point, and it's served with a glass of water and an individually wrapped biscuit for something sweet on the side.
If you like a little drama with your drink, ask for an iced Americano – it’s presented in a gin glass and looks gorgeous!
Tea is most definitely on the menu too. Not only are the pink teapots super cute and match the seats, but if you fancy something fruitier, the lemon and ginger tea is made with fresh ingredients and is full of flavour (not a teabag in sight) while the Summer Berries iced tea is a seasonal standout.
If you’re moving from day to night and heading out for pre-dinner drinks, you HAVE to try April’s cocktails. Happy Hour runs from 2-4pm every day and it’s 2-4-1 all the way on selected cocktails.
For pretty sips that taste every bit as amazing as they look, try the gin based Pretty in Pink or the Spring Awakening served with a fresh flower.
There’s also a great range of mocktails and low alcohol cocktails for those who want to join in the fun without having a hangover the next day.

The healthy option
April’s does a delectable range of pastries and cakes, which are divine with a mid-morning coffee, but if you’re in the mood for something a little more nutritious, check out the all-day breakfast and lunch menu, which is crammed full of healthy options.
Stand-out dishes include the Granola Bowl, which features creamy coconut yoghurt on a base of berry-rich compote, smothered with homemade granola and fresh fruit for the win, and the Pesto Poached Eggs. Picture this – perfectly poached eggs on a bed of grilled tenderstem broccoli, crispy kale and toasted sourdough, drizzled with basil pesto and pine nuts - even more delicious with a side of feta or streaky bacon .
For added protein, try a three-egg omelette or the Steak and Eggs. Like it spicy? How about Huevos Rancheros? Or keep it classic and clean with Crushed Avocado & Poached Eggs. These are the sort of dishes that make you feel wholesome, just by looking at them!
And the goodness doesn’t end there – from superfood lattes and homemade smoothies to cold pressed juices, kombucha and ginger shots, there are plenty of heathy drinks too. The Pash n Shoot Smoothie is served in a pretty pineapple glass and includes at least four of your five a day!!

Picture perfect
If you didn’t take a photo of your food, did you really eat it?!
Now we all know that food is better eaten fresh, but with meals that look this good, how could you resist a quick pic? From coffees in cocktail glasses and showstopping shakes to rainbow buddha bowls and sensational salads, everything that’s placed on the table is worthy of an Instagram post!
And don’t even get us started on the backdrop…exposed brick walls, swirls of bright colour that make every photo pop, cute slogans, the light-up ‘A’ logo and those iconic pink seats! Go on, you know you want to.
Pawsome pitstop
Out walking with your four-legged friend and fancy a quick coffee or bite to eat? Well-behaved dogs are always welcome in the covered terrace at the front of the restaurant, which is easily accessible and has lovely views out over Regent Street.
Don’t forget April’s does takeouts too, so if you’re heading into Tatton Park with your pooch, grab a brew on your way past. There are always bowls of water outside on the street, because we all know dogs get thirsty too.
Whether it's for coffee & cake, energy boosting breakfasts, bowls of nutritiousness, sampling the specials, healthy smoothies, or afternoon cocktails, a trip to April's Kitchen in Knutsford never disappoints.
